Job Overview
The Senior Manager, Compensation & Benefits – will lead Compensation and Benefits in India with primary support to Disney’s Technology Center in Bangalore, India.
The Senior Manager, Compensation & Benefits will consult with business leaders in partnership with HR Business Partner, Talent Acquisition, Finance, and global and regional Compensation and Benefits teams. The role will ensure a consistent approach around offers, communications, leadership education, and annual planning of awards. This position reports to the Executive Director, Total Rewards in APAC and works closely with the relevant Compensation team in the US and the APAC regional C&B team in the areas of program design, analysis, research, implementation, execution, and communication.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide consultative support for Mumbai and Bangalore Technology Center:
- Day-to-day compensation evaluation, administration, and communication
- Periodic market analysis/benchmarking
- Annual compensation planning (e.g. merit, bonus, long-term incentives)
- Legislative/regulatory compliance
- Ad hoc analyses
- Collaborate with clients and HR partners to ensure compensation and benefits programs are aligned and relevant to both the market and business conditions, while also integrated with key business and HR strategies
- Research and identify specific market trends and best practices and their potential relevance to this position’s assigned clients, as well as The Walt Disney Company, in general
- Collaborate with stakeholders/partners to continually improve processes, both compensation and benefits specific and broader HR; drive for continued improvement in efficiency, effectiveness, and quality
- Oversee local benefits strategy and execution for India
- Ensure alignment with regional and global benefits policies
- Collaborate with the Regional Benefits team to implement and localize programs such as health & risk insurance, wellness, and retirement plans, etc.
- Monitor legislative changes and ensure compliance with Indian benefits regulations
- Participate in regional benchmarking and benefits optimization initiatives
Required Qualifications:
- 10+ years of compensation and benefits experience within the Indian market
- Proven experience operating in a highly matrixed organization with multinational companies
- Knowledge of compensation program concepts and practices
- Exceptional analytical and quantitative skills with a commitment to accuracy
- Strong sense of teamwork, conflict resolution skills and relationship builder
- Proven consulting skills
- Excellent project management skills
- Strong written, verbal, and graphic communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate technical information to varying audiences
- Ability to understand and relate to multiple stakeholders from various disciplines (e.g., finance, legal, operations)
- Business-oriented mindset
- Enjoying working in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work with sensitive information and maintain confidentiality
- Expertise in Microsoft Excel, Access and Cognos required. Familiarity with SAP and Workday a plus
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree required; Human Resources, Business, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience gained within an international, matrixed organization)
- Master’s degree in Human Resources/ business or related field, highly regarded
