About the Role & Program
Do you have a love for preschool aged content and ever wonder what it takes to develop content for children? Disney Junior team is seeking an intern who will be a phenomenal addition to the team. We are responsible for developing and producing shorts, series and original movies for air. Disney Junior is the first entrance for children into the Disney family and entertains children aged 2 to 7 with magical stories that come from the heart. We are the channel behind such hits as “Mickey Mouse Clubhouse+,” “Spidey and His Amazing Friends,” “SuperKitties,” “Doc McStuffins,” and “Sofia the First.” Our department encompasses development and current production as well as educational and outreach-based research. If you are someone that is interested in learning more about animation production, story development for television, and children’s entertainment then this role is excellent for you!
This is a full-time internship. The approximate dates of this internship are January 2026 through June 2026. If selected for the role, you will report directly to the Executive Director, Current Series at Disney Junior. What You Will Do
You will be exposed to the day-to-day of the creative animation process from a network point of view in a high-volume office. You will hone a creative eye towards both current series and development properties. We are seeking a candidate that has previous experience providing administrative support to work closely with the assistants on the team to provide support to executives and departmental needs. You will also gain valuable exposure to many departments within both Disney Branded Television and the larger Walt Disney Company.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Daily industry trades coverage
Supporting assistants with administrative duties such as filing/server organization, answering phones, scheduling meetings, data backup
Research projects regarding both new talent and competitive landscape
Opportunity to read and review designs, scripts, animatics, animation along with executives
Read and review scripts, books, comics as requested and provide coverage
Required Qualifications & Skills
Particular curiosity in animation or children’s best practices in entertainment and social emotional learning
Enthusiastic attitude and willingness to learn
Experience using Mac and PC
Experience using Microsoft Office Suite
Preferred Qualifications
Strong desire to work in preschool entertainment and animation
Previous education or experience in a related field (TV, film, children’s education/development)
Previous administrative support is a plus
Education
Senior year preferred
A student studying Television or Film, Animation, Writing, or Children’s Psychology/Development
Eligibility Requirements & Program Information
Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all of the below requirements:
Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at time of application OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship.
Current Disney Interns, College, International, or Culinary Program Participants: You may only work for ONE consecutive year (12 months) in any combination of an internship and/or program.
Be at least 18 years of age
Possess unrestricted work authorization

Fully available from Monday through Friday, 9am to 6pm PT for the duration of the internship, 40 hours each week
Able to provide own housing for the duration internship program in the Burbank, California area
Able to provide/have reliable transportation to/from work

The pay rate for this role in California is $22.50 per hour.
