Content Platforms & Operations is responsible for the development and ongoing advancement of the technical and operational functions driving the worldwide distribution and monetization of Disney’s linear networks and theatrical content. This includes Disney’s media supply chain and storage, network and theatrical distribution operations, media localization, network transmission and origination, and more. The global team also plays a critical role as the primary collaboration point for Product & Technology with Disney’s EMEA, APAC, and LATAM regional business teams.

Job Summary:

  • Supports distribution operations for Broadcast & Cable and TV Syndicated programming, including servicing tasks necessary to meet Content Sales business objectives.
  • Collaborates on workflows to ensure client deliveries are complete. Share delivery deadlines with relevant teams and escalate delays with contingency plans as needed. Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure assets are ready and accurate. Document and troubleshoot issues, escalating as necessary to resolve them with internal or external partners.
  • Accountable for driving execution and delivery of multiple high-profile projects/accounts with moderate resources. Collaborates on team-wide projects and continuously looks for process improvement opportunities.
  • Skilled in communicating with internal and external partners regarding materials issues and control requirements for orders, deliveries, rejections, or replacements (including SD/HD masters, digital files, promotional items, and screeners).
  • Coordinates with vendors, internal teams, and clients. Responsibilities include managing post charts, tracking asset delivery timelines, monitoring weekly milestones, confirming compliance with Disney specifications and SLAs with vendors, and processing invoice reviews for approval. Sets up and maintains broadcast and delivery schedules in both customer-facing websites and internal applications.
  • Oversees the coordination of source materials to and from facilities; approve authorization for local access with third party vendors. Manage client on-boarding with vendors.
  • Assist with business and product development projects, as well as other ad hoc tasks. Support management and affiliates during live events and remotes as needed.
  • The individual possesses some expertise in both linear and digital distribution. Utilizing best practices and seeks to enhance products and services.
  • Solves a range of straight forward problems independently with minimal guidance, using multiple sources to make informed judgments and offering fresh perspectives on solutions.
  • Responsible for purchase orders and costs affiliated with distribution projects and ensures invoices submitted against are approved and within projected budget.

Required Education, Experience/Skills/Training:

Basic Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in broadcast or digital distribution, localization, asset management and related fields.
  • Ability to anticipate and respond to client requirements proactively.
  • Technical knowledge in digital media tools and technologies.
  • Previous customer service experience and managing clients and vendors.
  • Good understanding on A/V technical formats including IMF, UHD, HDR, Dolby-Vision, ATMOS and pro-res.
  • Previous experience in broadcast cable and/or TV syndication is a plus.
  • Strong computer skills including Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Google Docs.

Required Education  

  • Bachelor’s degree or Equivalent Experience

The hiring range for this position in California is $71,000 to $95,100 per year based on a 40 hour work week. The amount of hours scheduled per week may vary based on business needs. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
