Role Summary:
The General Manager of The Walt Disney Company Indonesia is responsible for advancing the company’s Disney Entertainment business in Indonesia, leading strategies and teams that drive business growth across various businesses with oversight of Indonesia P&L.
The executive is the chief representative of Disney in the Indonesia market, upholds Disney’s commitment to quality entertainment and be a creative thinker who generates new ideas and understands how to maximize brands and resources to achieve market leadership.
The General Manager, Indonesia also takes the direct leadership and oversee on Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) business in Indonesia, owning the end-to-end DTC strategy, including subscriber growth, partnerships, marketing, content strategy, and platform performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the overall Indonesia business across Disney Entertainment, ensuring alignment with regional and global priorities, and delivering against revenue, profitability, and growth targets.
- Oversee brand positioning and ensure strong local relevance and cultural resonance.
- Identify growth opportunities in the market and drive long-term value creation across the portfolio.
- Own and lead the end-to-end Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) business, to drive revenue growth, pricing optimization, and operational excellence of the streaming service in Indonesia
- In collaboration with relevant Executives and teams, develop and implement a local content strategy that attracts and engages audiences for Disney+
- Drive business and partnerships in an effort further growth goals.
- Provide guidance and advice on all technical aspects of platform, including those relating to data, analytics, customer acquisition and retention and algorithm maximization
- Represent the Walt Disney Company in Indonesia, develop and maintain strong relationships with community leaders that include government related agencies, business partners, non-profit etc
- Build and lead a high-performing, cross-functional leadership team; foster a culture of innovation and collaboration, accountability and performance, inclusion and continuous improvement
Experience & Qualifications:
- 15+ years of leadership experience in media, entertainment, streaming, or telco industries
- Significant leadership experience that has a participative leadership approach that fosters collaboration and innovation.
- Proven General Manager / P&L leadership experience in a complex, matrixed organization
- Demonstrated success in scaling subscription-based businesses
- Deep understanding of the Indonesia market and APAC media landscape
- Experience working in multinational environments with global stakeholders
