Department/Group Description
DWSS Procurement Services provides a variety of purchasing services in support of The Walt Disney Company and its Affiliates around the world. Making buying decisions, managing warehouse inventory, processing orders, expediting, setting up new vendors and stock keeping units (SKUs), managing change orders, resolving vendor payment issues, providing customer service, managing key clients, and ensuring compliance to company policies are some of the primary responsibilities of the team.
DWSS Procurement Services also provides subject matter expertise as it relates to procurement related activities at The Walt Disney Company. Team members work in a variety of purchasing, and inventory management systems (e.g. SAP, NALA, Amos, etc.), and are constantly called upon for their expertise in understanding how the process and/or systems work.
DWSS Procurement Services is a part of the Disney Worldwide Shared Services organization and functions within the Purchase to Pay, end-to-end process. Process re-engineering and leveraging technology to gain efficiencies and productivity enhancements; continue to be the main drivers of success for the team
Job Summary and Purpose:
The Purchase to Pay – Project Data Analyst will be part of a team responsible for procurement activities during the upcoming F&B system replacement that will support DLR and WDW. The role will focus on current system data that will have to be translated to the upcoming system. The Purchase to Pay – Project Data Analyst will be responsible for data cleanup and assist with data migration and testing. This role will analyze data for decision making recommendations.
The Purchase to Pay – Project Data Analyst will be an active participant in the design of the new system in order to clearly align data expectations and deliverables. This role will be actively testing of the system and data to ensure a smooth launch. During final rollout, the Purchase to Pay – Project Data Analyst will assist in further training and documentation of system data points as needed, and correcting data on the fly.
This role will manage the process, transferring legacy system data to excel formats, ensuring accuracy across Food and Beverage systems. The Purchase to Pay – Project Data Analyst will perform testing, reconciliation, and audit tasks, ensuring smooth data transitions between core systems.
Position Responsibilities
Work with subject matter experts and project team to identify, define, collate, document and communicate the data migration requirements
Assist in designing, planning and managing the data migration process
Work across multiple functional projects to understand data usage and implications for data migration across multiple Food and Beverage business systems
Analyze, extract, manipulate and migrate information and data from legacy data management systems, into excel uploaders
Perform data migration audit, reconciliation and exception reporting
Manage cross-program data assurance for physical data items in source and target systems
Basic Qualifications
Proven experience writing complex SQL Code
Familiarity with Smartsheets and Snowflake
Self-starter, able to work under tight timetables and high-pressure situations, fluidly shift with changing priorities, and effectively handle ambiguity
Strong experience facilitating, gathering and development of requirements for complex solutions
Experience managing a large volume of complex work, prioritizing to ensure results are achieved
Must possess excellent business communication, writing, and interpersonal skills
Experience creating presentation materials to communicate project updates
Comfortable when communicating with executive level (Directors, VPs) in presentations, working sessions, and 1-on-1 interactions
Proactive and solution-oriented when managing issues
Exhibit good judgment skills on when to seek guidance and when to escalate risks and issues
4- Year degree
Field of Study Preferred: Supply Chain Management, Finance, Business Administration.
Experience with purchasing and purchasing products for warehouse inventories (minimum 3 years)
Experience purchasing food or beverage items (minimum 1 year)
Experience in data extraction, cleanup, and transitioning to new systems on a large scale.
Strong Analytical Skills
Strong communication & interpersonal skills (persuasion & influencing)
Detail oriented (focus on quality and not necessarily speed)
Collaborative and able to work in a team environment
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite of applications
Experience in data extraction, cleanup, and transitioning to new systems on a large scale.
Preferred Qualifications
3+ years of Project Management work experience
1+ years of operational leadership experience in a Food and Beverage environment
Exposure to the end-user experience of Food and Beverage systems
Experience with forecasting models, inventory and/or supply chain management
Process Re-engineering experience: Green Belt, Black Belt
Change Management experience
Project Management experience
CPM – Certified Purchasing Manager
