Job Summary
The Walt Disney Company wishes to appoint a Commissioning Executive to work in its originals commissioning team with a fixed-term contract of 12 months.
Reporting to the Executive Director of Unscripted, the role will focus on overseeing a small number of projects that have been commissioned out of the UK in the Reality and Format genres.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in commissioning at a broadcaster or streaming service or have worked as the Executive Producer level or higher within the independent sector, delivering series for global streaming services or primetime UK PSB.
This is an office-based role. 4 days working in the Hammersmith, London office with 1 day working from home.
The Experience We Require From You:
- Knowledge and experience working on premium unscripted series, talent management and contributor welfare are key requirements.
- The candidate must also have experience working across legal and compliance as well as a strong track record in working with complex production budgets.
- Ability to work with multiple key stakeholder and departments is a must ranging from marketing to finance etc.
- Strong relationships with the independent community is required as well as a desire for the candidate to promote and work with those from under-represented communities.
- The role may also require working closely with local markets across EMEA so an additional language is a positive.
- Travelling will be required in this role.
