About the Role & Team 

The Deal Management team sits within Disney Entertainment and supports the end‑to‑end operational processes for Platform Distribution within the Content Sales Distribution team. Content Sales is responsible for monetising series and feature content through licensing to third‑party platforms, primarily broadcasters and SVOD services, while working in tandem with Disney+, Studio Theatrical and Media Networks.

The Deal Management Executive provides pre and post‑sales commercial and logistic support, ensuring accurate availability, rights and deal information is provided to Sales, Clients and internal stakeholders. The role plays a critical part in supporting commercial team reach commercial and strategic targets while mitigating risk by ensuring rights are licensed correctly and contractual obligations are accurately reflected and communicated.

This role will be based in our London Hammersmith office, 4 days a week, with either a Monday or Friday working from home.

What You Will Do 

CONTENT STRATEGY IMPLEMENTATION

  • Maintain a strong and thorough understanding of Disney Entertainment’s content distribution strategy, sales priorities and key clients by market and content catalogue. 
  • Ensure company’s windowing, IP strategy and content sales parameters and restrictions are strictly adhered to through sales tracking and regular, proactive communications to the Sales team and incorporation into the pre-sales planning processes.
  • Ensure content availability lists are accurate, current and aligned with company strategy and existing commitments and as appropriate, tailored to be targeted.

 Other General Activities

  • Set up and take ownership of workflow processes.  Examples include but not limited to; co-ordinating and gathering data across the markets for budget and global planning purposes; lead standing calls with support teams to advise upcoming licenses, deal requirements, deadlines and knowing when to escalate any material issues as they arise.
  • Work with Sales colleagues and support customer relationships as required in territory to help sustain and develop strong relationships with established and nascent clients through appropriate levels of regular client contact.
  • Adhere to defined business processes, taking opportunities to improve such processes when appropriate.
  • Provide cover when required for transactional deals, deal renewals, rights reviews, additional licensing as required.
  • Use expertise relating to agreed deals, to aid annual and quarterly forecasting/budget processes, identifying missing deals, checking revenue phasing, help to manage forecasting for contractual commitments.
  • Support global and territory planning activities through accurate data provision and coordination.
  • Take ownership of defined workflow processes, contribute to continuous improvement where appropriate, and produce/implement trackers and windowing grids
  • Train and supervise Intern on Transactional releasing and reporting, ensuring high standards.

LEADING PRE-SALES CO-ORDINATION

  • Create and manage availability lists, adjusting system output to reflect current parameters, title‑specific considerations and territory requirements.
  • Coordinate with technical servicing teams regarding availability, pipeline deals and upcoming releases to ensure timely materials delivery.
  • Participate in and, where appropriate, co‑host client meetings and screenings alongside Sales to support relationship development.

SALES OPERATIONS AND POST SALES CO-ORDINATION

  • Accurately input new deals, amendments and renewals into rights management systems based on information from Sales and Legal.  Liaise with Legal, Finance and Technical Servicing to support deal execution, compliance and fulfilment.
  • Manage windowing across multiple media and territories, including split and shared windows.
  • Ensure both company and client obligations under licensing agreements are met, including timely notification of amendments, availability updates, identify and manage outstanding content selections.
  • Maintain data required for transactional deals, including pricing, rate cards, age ratings and client‑specific information and provide cover for transactional deals when required.

STAKEHOLDER MANAGEMENT

  • Act as a key point of contact for Sales, providing accurate rights and availability information to support commercial and strategic targets.
  • Work closely with Finance, Legal, Technical Servicing and other support functions to ensure accurate, timely and compliant deal execution and support the budget setting and tracking process.
  • Support auditing and compliance processes, including tracking of approvals, residuals and consultation requirements.

Required Qualifications & Skills  

  • Proven strong experience in media distribution or rights management, preferably studio‑based.
  • Experience working with a broad, high‑volume content portfolio, including library and evolving slate.
  • Knowledge of the content sales media landscape, ideally across the UK and Nordics.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a cross‑functional, matrixed organisation.
  • Strong commercial acumen with financial, legal and technical understanding of rights management.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Confident communicator able to liaise effectively across differing stakeholder groups.
  • Organised, proactive and solutions‑oriented approach to work.
