About the Role & Team
The Pricing & Planning (P&P) team is a part of Linear Revenue Yield Management within Disney Ad Sales, a division of the Disney Entertainment Television Segment of The Walt Disney Company. Primary team responsibilities include: proposal development from RFPs, followed by execution including order booking, extensive change management, invoicing, and post buy verification/fulfillment. The P&P team works to present the sales offering, constructed from the network program schedule, to marketplace advertisers via hundreds of deals. These deals drive revenue to satisfy individual network P&Ls, while also supporting the larger DAS Ad Sales effort.
Disney Ad Sales Revenue Management division is seeking an experienced Senior Manager who will be an outstanding addition to our P&P team. As Senior Manager of P&P at Disney, you will be responsible for providing mentorship, education and tactical direction to our P&P Managers & Sales Planners and will be tasked with supporting the revenue generation of multiple Sales teams. Reporting into Director P&P, this role will be focused on leading all aspects of hiring and development for their Sales Planners, as well as focusing on evaluating, revising, and implementing new processes/sales strategies, as recommended to and approved by P&P leadership. Senior Manager P&P assumes a leadership role evaluating tech gaps and opportunities via both observation of and feedback from the Planners and other internal and external stakeholders. This role will also aid the Director P&P as the primary stakeholder for key projects and team initiatives. The Senior Manager of P&P will also serve as a point of escalation for the Managers they oversee, Sales teams they support, Global Ad Operations (GAO), Brand Solutions, and all partnering groups for any higher decision making and/or exceptions outside of the Manager scope. What You Will Do
Manage P&P Managers & a large cohort of Sales Planners across U.S. offices. Monitor the timelines, execution & effectiveness across P&P Managers to ensure consistent levels of support within assigned vertical(s)
Partner cross-functionally with other RYM management within Analytics, Inventory and Scheduling to identify any trends or opportunities to create opportunity or influence impactful change in how we go to market to help drive revenue.
Train and develop Manager P&P role and assess Sales Planner performance in partnership with Sales representatives and P&P Manager to ensure that personal and team goals are being realized
Support Sales as needed with any escalated concerns, addressing proposal and fulfillment inquiries as well as guidance with partnering groups impacting sales proposals such as SBS. Help defend and justify any pricing strategy or business needs, through the lens of collaboration and offering alternative solutions.
Assist the Director P&P as the primary stakeholder of key projects & team initiatives; curate effective communications to drive adoption and accelerate implementation
In the absence of Director P&P, assume team leadership responsibility dealing with executive sales management and cross departmental leadership.
Required Qualifications & Skills
7+ years business experience, with a focus on Linear Pricing or Planning in a national sales organization.
1+ years experience of managing a team.
Aptitude to motivate and direct junior level staff.
Comfort dealing with senior leadership when required.
Ability to present complicated concepts and ideas in an easy-to-understand format.
Understanding of the criticality of efficient process.
Quantitative-thinker, with robust problem solving skills and detail orientation.
Ability to multi-task and thrive in a team oriented, dynamic sales organization.
Excellent verbal/written communication and organizational skills.
Understanding of industry sales systems such as Advisor & Business Objects
Advanced Knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Powerpoint.
Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

The hiring range for this position based in New York is $145,800 to $195,500 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
