Job-Zusammenfassung:

Would you love to influence senior leaders with data-driven analytics in the morning, and work on a system-optimization project in one of the Disney Parks & Resorts in the afternoon?

As an Industrial Engineer at Disney, you would help translate ideas into tangible innovation opportunities that focus on strategy within operations. Working on a diverse set of projects, you would flex your analytical, consulting, process and system optimization skills in service of a common goal: to make a happier, more seamless experience for our Guests, at every stage of their visit. Join our IE team!

This position will report to the Industrial Engineering Manager.

Verantwortlichkeiten:

You'd join a diverse, networked team that collaborates on projects that promote Disney's Parks and Resorts business to the next level. What makes us different from other IE groups? We use creativity and in-depth analytics to transform data into systems that can directly improve the happiness of our Guests.

Every single day as an Industrial Engineer is different! On any one day you might:

  • Strategize with multiple departments to find the next productivity boost
  • Develop analytics to identify areas for improvement and change
  • Lead a brainstorming session about simulation, forecasting, and optimization
  • Create a plan with other engineers for future operational development
  • Present to leadership to help in change management
  • Develop relationships within Disney through cross-team collaborations
  • Gain leadership development and rotate between client groups
  • Attend seminars on professional and personal development
  • Research and benchmark topics relevant to your project scope
  • Lead others with a field study
  • Coach interns so they can own their projects and contribute in a meaningful way
  • Spend time in the Parks to observe operations, and gain process insights
  • Grab lunch with the team or hop on an attraction at a Disney park!

Erforderliche Qualifikation:

  • Minimum 2 years of applied experience• Project management skills, with an emphasis on communication and building strategic relationships
  • Success wearing a consultant's hat, and with making quality/process improvements
  • Experience to delineate scope-of-work, understand the full impact of findings on the business and develop recommendations
  • Experience with capacity/demand analysis and modeling techniques
  • Knowledge of conducting field studies/data collection efforts
  • Expertise with spreadsheets, databases, and statistical/graphic software
  • Resiliency – you're up for the challenge of continuous improvement, and have fortitude in the face of a "no"
  • Creativity to approach problems in new ways
  • Experience motivating your peers
  • A flexible schedule - you're able to meet project milestones and provide ideas on how to do things differently

Required Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Research or equivalent

Preferred Education

  • A Master's degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Business or equivalent
