About the Role & Team
In this role you will own the financial planning, reporting and analysis of our Theatrical business, central planning and central cost management. You will take an active role in the Nordic & Baltic Finance team as well as the Theatrical Leadership team, providing commercial financial expertise and guidance, partnering with the business to deliver our ambitious growth targets. Other key stakeholders would include the regional finance team and the Nordic HR team.
Primary areas of focus are forecast and planning, commercial finance support, developing and articulating strategies to grow the business and to maximize long-term profitability.
This role will require you to be onsite 4 days a week. This role can be based in any of our Nordic offices: Stockholm, Copenhagen, Oslo or Helsinki.
What You Will Do
Support in the financial planning cycle for our Theatrical business (movie distribution), including budget, forecasts, actuals reporting and reconciliations of forecasts/actuals. This includes reconciling and explaining numbers submitted by the business, driving the financial planning for specific P&L lines, coordinating internal reviews, annual planning and reporting of actuals
Leading on central planning such as headcount planning, managing functional support budgets and their forecasting
Manage central Nordic marketing budgets, this includes driving a cross-functional marketing set up across the Nordic & Baltic region, ensuring focus is on both the individual business lines and the total Nordic & Baltic P&L
Key finance partner to the Nordic & Baltic Finance Director, Theatrical leads and cross-LOB Marketing
Present and explain the results to key stakeholders in a clear and comprehensive way
Ensuring that the forecasts are correct and updated in the reporting systems
Support with financial analysis on new deals including partnerships, promotional activity & launch markets
Project management of central finance projects and ways of working improvements, incl. creation and maintenance of tools and templates, where needed
Drive, or provide support to Finance Director and line manager, on ad hoc projects, business development opportunities and analysis
Build and develop a strong relationship with the regional team
Challenging management in their thinking and making sure that the right business decisions are being made
Participate and take an active part in weekly/ monthly meetings both locally and regionally
Establish and develop a strong relationship with the wider EMEA Finance organization
Required Qualifications & Skills
BSc or MSc or equivalent experience in Finance, Economics or Marketing
Significant experience from comparable finance roles in international, sophisticated organizations
Confident in handling multiple stakeholders in a matrix organization, up to senior management level
Experiences in leading financial planning and reporting
Strong financial analysis and modelling skills incl. project management and presenting to senior management
Excellent ability to perform detailed analyses as well as seeing the big picture
A proactive approach is key – to communication, stakeholder management and project management
Ability and willingness for continuous learning and improvement to drive the finance function forward
Excellent presentation skills both verbal and graphical, with an ability to convey relevant information in a candid and timely manner
Strong MS Office Skills and ideally with SAP
Excellent oral and written skills in English, knowledge of Nordic languages is beneficial
