Position Summary
Industrial Light & Magic is hiring for a Studio Operations Manager to join our near 1000 employee Vancouver studio. In this role you’ll oversee the daily operations of the studio, including facilities, PR, communications, events, and studio culture. This role manages teams, fosters interdepartmental collaboration, and ensures a productive, safe, and inclusive environment. As Manager you’ll also contribute to studio operational planning and external relations.
What You’ll Do
Facilities: In partnership with the Facilities Manager, lead the facilities and studio operations team, manage space planning, collaborate with Technology/IT, contribute to operational planning, ensure health and safety, and manage vendors.
Communications: Develop internal communications, manage the studio communications calendar, organize studio meetings, and partner with the Director of PR on global strategies.
Public Relations: Manage PR events, serve as the primary PR contact, coordinate awards support, develop social media assets, and organize studio tours. Partner with the Director of PR and Disney parties as necessary.
Studio Culture & Events: Direct studio events and employee programs, maintain the events calendar, and champion studio culture.
What We’re Looking For
Minimum 5 years of operations management experience, preferably in the film, VFX, or animation industry.
Demonstrated leadership and team management skills.
Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
Proficiency in MS Office and G Suite, and ideally Keynote.
Experience with content management systems, such as Wordpress.
Ability to manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment.
Passion for enhancing company culture.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
The hiring range for this position in Vancouver is C$$98,700 to C$126,500 per year based on a 40-hour work week. The amount of hours scheduled per week may vary based on business needs. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A full range of medical, financial, and/or other variable pay or benefits, may be offered dependent on the level and position offered.
