Job Summary
The regional Content Marketing team are responsible for the development and roll-out of title marketing campaigns for Global & Local General Entertainment content for Disney+ in EMEA. The focus, and measurement of success, is to drive awareness of our content to new & existing customers, engage our existing customers and drive acquisition of Disney+.
This role will also be responsible for further building fame for hit franchises such as The Bear and Only Murders in the Building, ensuring they have a year-round approach, as well as being responsible for supporting, and occasionally, leading campaigns for new titles such as Alien: Earth, The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives & The Kardashians, and other original shows from FX, Hulu, ABC and Disney Branded Television.
The individual will report directly to the EMEA Senior Content Marketing Manager (Global General Entertainment) and work closely with the rest of the content marketing team who also look after EMEA and UK local originals. They will need to co-ordinate planning with peers and will be expected to build excellent relationships with counterparts across the London office, with the US teams and be a key point of contact for local market colleagues wherever content marketing is concerned.
NOTE: This is a 12-month FTC maternity cover contract starting June 2025.
This is an office-based role in the Hammersmith, London office with 4 days in the office and 1 day working from home (Monday or Friday).
The Opportunity & Responsibilities:
- Support on delivering industry leading, insight driven, innovative, differentiated & effective content campaigns to markets for local amplification and activation.
- Work with the Content Marketing Manager on setting campaign objectives, allocating budget, compiling the media brief/strategy and execution for key new Disney+ launches.
- Work closely with the internal creative team and agencies on the creative development or adaptations of global creative, production and execution of content campaigns and support the Content Marketing Manager with the content planning milestones for campaign up to and including post campaign analysis.
- Work closely with our media agency, Publicis Imagine on developing and delivering regional media guidelines for each new launch.
- Share local market amplification of regional campaigns for potential share and reapply and receive feedback to create recommendations on how to improve regional content campaign toolkits for the future.
- Tracking purchase orders, managing vendors, and other finance admin related duties.
- Track key stakeholders on the delivery and approval of assets on time so that the Snr Marketing Manager can escalate and / or hold the stakeholders to account.
- Create EMEA templates for market feedback and collate regional content marketing summary on a monthly and weekly basis for regional and US reporting.
- Work closely with counterparts in other regional functional teams such as performance marketing, social media, PR and communications and the EMEA brand team to ensure regional campaign strategies and plans are aligned and integrated.
- Work closely with our research team and manage campaign asset testing process with Kantar.
- Represent the content team within regional XLOB meetings as required
- Overseeing the creation of key franchise materials including decks, toolkits, and assets.
- Attend relevant training and US calls as required.
- Mentor the Content Marketing Intern
The Experience We Require From You:
- Experience with marketing content or brands within the media / entertainment industry
- Media, creative agency and production team experience including writing inspirational briefs and providing clear feedback
- Ideally experience working in a regional team including understanding market environment, communications and cultural nuances
- Strong presentation and communication skills – comfortable presenting to all levels up to SVP
- Excellent stakeholder management skills
- Meticulous organisational skills in order to balance delivery of multiple campaigns at a time
- Strong strategic marketing capabilities and implementation skills
- Strong attention to detail & creative eye
- Inquisitive mindset in order to be customer centric
- Data driven and KPI focused
- Strong collaborator and works well as part of a team, but also self-driven and motivated
